The branch offers opportunities for members to work toward common goals while creating a network of friends:
- Intellectual growth and fellowship through monthly events and interest groups
- Financial aid to support education of women and girls and to promote equity in the workplace through Scholarships, Programs, Mentoring, and Outreach projects.
- Community action on Public Policy issues through group meetings and individual action on AAUW website
Branch events are held monthly. In addition, Branch members are also engaged in a variety of community service projects. Guests are welcome at many of the general branch meetings, and periodically events are open to the public free of charge.
AAUW members are committed to their communities and fellow citizens.
In principle and practice, AAUW values and seeks a diverse membership with no barriers on the basis of gender, race, creed, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability or class.
